Monica Bradley

Monica Bradley is an accomplished board director and strategic advisor with over three decades of international experience driving sustainable growth, digital transformation, and impact investing across New York, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Perth, Canberra and Brisbane.

 

She currently serves as Advisory Board Chair of MI Global Partners, Chair of Circonomy (Australia's largest circular economy social enterprise), and Non-Executive Director of Resolutions (Int). With executive experience managing P&Ls of up to $200 million and revenue of up to $500 million, Monica brings deep expertise in emerging technologies, ESG, venture capital, and global trade to the boardroom.

 

Her career spans Chief Advisor roles to Abu Dhabi government leaders on $500 million reform programs, VP Global Commodities managing $300 million USD operations at Dr. Oetker, and Investment Committee member for QIC's $80 million venture capital fund.

 

Through her advisory firm Purposeful Capital, Monica supports game-changing founders and impact ventures, combining practical understanding of business models, technology valuations, and sustainable innovation to drive growth without compromise.

CURRENT BOARD PORTFOLIO
 

Monica currently serves as Advisory Board Chair of MI Global Partners, Australia's premier events, sport and place management consultancy formed from the Sydney Olympics legacy. She chairs Circonomy, Australia's largest circular economy social enterprise and 2020 Banksia Foundation Minister's Award winner, and serves as a Non-Executive Director of Resolutions (Int), a leading healthcare technology provider.

Her board portfolio reflects a commitment to sustainable innovation, having served on the Advisory Board of Beyond Zero Emissions supporting the Million Jobs Plan, and held directorships with Container Exchange (Queensland's Container Deposit Scheme), Enova Community Energy, Brisbane Marketing, and QUT Council.

Through her advisory firm, Purposeful Capital, Monica mentors game-changing founders and impact-driven ventures, combining market analytics with sustainable business model development. She served on the Investment Committee for QIC's $80 million Queensland Business Development Fund, reviewing and supporting early-stage venture capital investments to scale high-growth technology companies.

Monica is an Activator with Coralus (formerly SheEO), a global initiative supporting female entrepreneurs through innovative financing models. Her technology investment experience spans venture capital, private equity, and angel investing, providing her with a practical understanding of valuations, ROI modelling, emerging business models, and investor networks.

 

EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE AND DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Monica's executive experience includes managing P&Ls up to $200 million, managing revenue up to $500 million, and managing program budgets up to $100 million. Her domain expertise encompasses:
 

  • Global Trade and Supply Chain: VP Global Commodities at Dr. Oetker (Hamburg Sud), managing international trade operations across continents with annual turnover of $300 million USD
     

  • Government and Strategic Advisory: Chief Advisor to Abu Dhabi Executive Council Reform, leading $500 million strategic transformation programs and governance frameworks
     

  • Digital Transformation: Entrepreneur in Residence at QUT's PwC Chair in Digital Economy, bridging research and industry innovation
     

  • ESG and Sustainability: Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership graduate, driving circular economy and zero-emissions initiatives
     

MIDDLE EAST EXPERIENCE
 

From 2003 to 2011, Monica served as Chief Advisor to senior Abu Dhabi government leaders, providing strategic guidance on technology investment, sustainability programs (including early Masdar City design), and institutional reform. She advised sovereign wealth funds, government departments, and major developers on strategic planning, governance frameworks, and performance management systems.
 

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
 

Monica holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Strategy from Queensland University of Technology, completed the Sustainability Leadership for Directors program at the University of Cambridge, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). She participated in the prestigious AICD Chair's Mentoring Program, mentored by ASX Chair Grant Murdoch.
