Arlene Tansey OAM

Arlene Tansey OAM is a distinguished Non-Executive Director with deep expertise in commercial and investment banking, corporate governance, and strategic leadership across ASX-listed and major Australian organisations.

 

Currently serving on the boards of Aristocrat Leisure Limited (where she chairs the Audit Committee), McMillan Shakespeare Group, LaTrobe Financial, and the University of Wollongong Global Enterprises, Arlene also chairs the Serco Asia-Pacific Advisory Board. Her career spans senior roles at ANZ Banking Group and Macquarie Bank in Australia, as well as investment banking and law in the United States.

 

Arlene was a Fellow of the AICD from 1999 - 2025 and holds a Juris Doctor from USC Gould School of Law and an MBA from New York University. Originally from New York, she has lived in Australia for thirty years and brings a truly global perspective, holding Australian, US, and Irish citizenship.

Her governance expertise extends to McMillan Shakespeare Group and LaTrobe Financial (a non-Bak Financial Institution owned by Brookfield Capital). Demonstrating her commitment to education and international engagement, Arlene serves on the board of the University of Wollongong Global Enterprises, which recently won the 63rd Australian Export Awards in International Education.
